GM BAMBOO ECO-CITY have developed three technologies:
- Lime & Biochar Composite Brick/Block – a zero carbon emission infrastructure development product;
- Bamboo & Lime-Biochar Composite Construction Technology – a Nature-Based Carbon Negative Emission Technology (NET);
- Bamboo Eco-City Development Technology – quality affordable urban infrastructure construction materials and technologies that are integrated with greenhouses, indoor and vertical farms with 100% renewable energy and sustainable water supply including zero waste technologies. If this technology is well implemented, a whole city can easily be turned into a nature-based CARBON SINK in order to bring the EARTH INTO BALANCE, preferably within 2oC of average global temperatures.
GM BAMBOO ECO-CITY’S is pioneering the technology that uses up to 100% locally sourced natural material as components for a new evolution of sustainable infrastructure construction materials and technologies. This breakthrough innovation developed by GM BAMBOO ECO-CITY involves careful selection, mixing and moulding of lime, laterite, Clay, Biochar and pozzolana into bricks/blocks, thus enabling them to fully harden with a controlled curing process. This disruptive innovative technology uses zero cement and sand and very little amount of water.
Lime & Biochar Composite Brick/Block – a zero carbon emission infrastructure development product;
We have finally developed the Lime & Biochar Brick/Block Composite technology and have decided to begin with production these machines soon.
Comparison:
- It could be basically considered as a far relative of a sand-lime stone, but its breathable and purifies air quality.
- Its “thin soil” components make its basic composition comparable to a ceramic/fire clay brick, but it stays raw;
- Its process of hydraulic hardening makes it comparable to a concrete/cement block, but without the use of cement and sand; but with longer life-span, recyclable and carbon zero to negative;
- It is adapted to all shapes and sizes of bricks and blocks, for bearing walls (from 4 Mpa up to 40Mpa), soils and pavements, and other elements;
- Depending on it is composition, its water and frost resistance are comparable to traditional concrete/cement blocks and ceramic/fire clay bricks;
- It is a much better material, in terms of sustainability, durability, water resistance and strength.

Production
Material and Process for Basic Hand-Made Production
- Self-made siever to sieve the laterite;
- Hand/mechanical brick/block press;
- Bamboo pallets and Bamboo sheets for storing and curing.
