COMMUNITY GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE
Water
A central water pumping and purification system will supply clean and potable water to all homes and facilities, eliminating dependency on external sources.
Sewage: Waste-to-Energy
A central sewage treatment centre, to which all homes and facilities will be connected, will eliminate the need for individual cesspools/septic tanks. This system will be run by an independent investor who will turn the waste into renewable energy, fertilizer and biochar.
Renewable Electricity
Subterranean electric cables will supply power to all homes and facilities from a central system. Ongoing power will be provided by Independent Power Producer and public spaces will be supported by biomass generators for emergency use. Lots will include necessary infrastructure for private biomass generators.
Communications
The subterranean infrastructure will include provision for TV, telephone and central internet connections. Individual residences will be equipped with a connection point for a satellite dish.
Roads
A sustainable neighbourhood road system will include street signage at each intersection, pavements lined with planted parkways on each side of the street and a two-car private parking lot per high-income eco-home.
Green road network constructed with Biochar modified asphaltic material and Lime & Biochar composite pavement blocks.
Landscaping
Landscaping will include gardens, river promenade, winding trails and paths with strategically placed rest areas that feature covers to protect residents from sun and rain. Future community recreational parks will be developed by independent investors.
Nature Reserve
In the surrounding grounds the physical beauty of nature will be fully preserved and nurtured.
Outside the community Bamboo fence, native trees will be planted for additional shade and privacy.

Cities all over the world have to meet complex challenges such as rapid urbanisation, population growth, leading to housing deficit, climate change, and unemployment; decreasing area of arable land, food insecurity and unemployment. It will not be easy to provide for the booming urban populations in a sustainable, healthy and equitable way. Research into affordable infrastructure construction materials and technologies, urban greenhouses, indoor and vertical farms can help cities counter these issues. I am very humbled of the results of our futuristic thinking that has helped us to come up with fresh, out of the box and optimistic ideas.
